THE IDEA
Camp Vista is a nonprofit Christian Retreat Center that serves youth, families and religious groups by providing them a space to grow in appreciation for nature and their relationships with God and one another. In 2018, Camp Vista lost its chapel due to a devastating structure fire. The chapel was the heart of the camp’s mission, both physically and metaphorically.

My role was to write grant requests to foundations, create promotional materials and talk to media about the campaign. I designed social media pages, print materials and graphics for fundraising events. I also appeared on radio shows and wrote press releases to local news outlets.
RESULTS
On June 4, 2022, Camp Vista celebrated the official opening of the Our Lady of Hope Chapel with a colorful festival. We raised over $4 million dollars to make this project a reality. I was honored to lead the event as the Vista Festival Emcee. Needless to say, the power of community was felt when this journey was shared.
